VCSL has completed the first draft  of the proposed Veterinary Council Act for comments by the VCSL registered veterinarians. The proposed act is expected to repeal the Veterinary Surgeons and Practitioners act No. 46 of 1956 and to implement a new veterinary council act to establish Veterinary Council to provide laws relating to veterinary surgeons, registration of veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, animal vaccinators and veterinary clinics and for the matters connected.

All VCSL registered veterinarians are invited to send comments and suggestions  to be considered for updating the proposed act to the Registrar(registrarslvetcouncil@gmail.com) of VCSL by an email before 31st March 2021. Please indicate your name and council registration number, part of the draft act and the section number in your email.
